Objectum Sexuals

Ok I have to file this under the truly bizarre. This is an article and documentary about women who fall in love with inanimate objects. There are very few of these women, and they do seem to be all women. They have Aspergers syndrome, and they come from an abusive family. Now I will warn you that if you watch this video from start to finish it will be 21 minutes and 14 seconds of your life that you can't get back. It is by far the most fascinating train wreck I have ever watched. ( I was a little toasted when I watched it but the outcome probably wouldn't have been different if I was sober.) In this documentary you will see a woman who married the Eiffel Tower and one that married the Berlin Wall. Pat also makes an appearance and she/he is in love with an amusement park ride.
It's amazing to watch, and definitely creepy. You can get the idea if you watch just a couple minutes. And you should at least do that just for kicks and giggles. But please remember that if you watch it all, I did warn you....Married To The Eiffel Tower [Part 1] Free Videos - Watch Online Videos - Guide Veoh

Oh my heavenly God. I linked through and was fascinated. I watched both parts. In the second part, they show one woman actually kind of making out with a carnival ride, and showed the Eiffel Tower woman visiting the wife of the Berlin wall (with whom she's also having an affair - these women are apparently polygamous). They actually showed her consummating her marriage to the Eiffel Tower, which was, needless to say interesting. They showed the carnival ride woman (1000 Nachts was the name of her husband) making out with a church railing (which she has admitted having sex with at least once), and playing on her ex-lover paul, a church organ. And praying with her minister. Well no doubt she's there every Sunday anyway.

So yeah, I'm watching this with fascination. I then went on to watch the one about the two guys who are intimately involved with their cars. The footage at the auto show they took them to was a hilarious (if you could ignore the underlying pathos) as it was disturbing.

Men are not immune from this. There was a fascinating special on men who live and have relationships with "Real Girls", hundred or so pound silicone sex dolls that can be customized with eye and hair color, facial features, and dressed in real women's clothes. They cost about 10k per each. One guy in California had EIGHT.

All basically sad examples of the increasing isolationism in our society. Some people with problems just apparently find it easier to bond with objects rather than compromise on what their ideal partner should look like, or deal with the emotionally messy difficulties of a relationship. Ultimately, it kind of made me sad.
